For me a big seller in zombie games is good ambient noise. Not sure if I need to go in depth but I would like it if when I was hunting in the woods I could here birds chirping, perhaps the creak nearby, the wind rustling the branches, etc etc.

I absolutely hate the random zombie background noises in games like DayZ for precisely this reason - it kills the ambiance. So yes, I absolutely like the idea of realistic background noises and no goofy soundtracks.

I agree, sometimes I turn off the music just to hear the game itself, but then it can get a bit quiet...

I also remember Fallout:NV when it would randomly throw gunshot noises at you when you were just walking around. Only to find out that they were ambient noises.

One thing a game does that brings more immersion, at least for myself, is ambient sounds.

I haven't seen or heard much talk about it, if at all, and would like to make some suggestions. But before I do, I would like to know what's currently in game or potentially added later.
