What? No. We can't stop here. This is bat country.
Just thought it would be a nice idea to be able to install one of these in your safehouse.

You could take them from apartments, govt buildings the places that usually have them and use them on your own safehouse if your not using the building their on.
Something like on an apartment/house:

More of a govt/fed building type:

I did search "Intercom" and didn't get a hit (which surprised me) so I thought I would post the idea...

Find a pair of walkie talkies, mount one next to your front door (turn it off to conserve battery power). Someone can then walk up and turn it on to try to talk to you. Would only work if yours was turned on as well and both had working batteries.

Not to get too far off topic, would be awesome to be able to "plant" or throw walkies to use as a distraction to players or zombies also, could really freak people out like this.

But yes, securing a walkie talkie to the wall of your safehouse, have it on a designated channel, and then have you and/or your group all on that channel be able to communicate whether you were at base or not would be very cool to do.

Only issue I see is everybody uses TeamSpeak or another chat program anymore.

Yea it would probably be more use too a random person trying to initiate a conversation, because most likely a person with this is more open to a conversation/trade... and unless you are using an existing intercom or remove one from a building (a proper one) someone could just remove it, unless the walkie is secured well using metal braces or something...

Yeah I agree, and my thoughts were like semi-permanent mount to a way or something, screws, metal straps, etc. However, we also should remember that CB Radios are supposed to be in game as well at some point I believe. That could essentially do a similar effect with mobile CBs in vehicles and base station CBs in buildings.

Totally forgot about them, this idea is not needed then really, so if you feel it would be better you can archive it... my bad.
