What? No. We can't stop here. This is bat country.
Hopefully some day we can get those radio towers too work....

Had a thought that pagers are something you might find or use if mobiles or house phones are usable aswell in homes or electronic/house hardware stores... you could use these to call back/alert group members back to base or yourself if paged/used as a motion sensor trap.

This one is used for a car alarm.

I bet someone might be able to create a device for a doorway... I found ones used by parents but you would want something with more transmission distance than the next room.

Not for any comms in the usual sense, was just thinking more along the lines of an alert system that could be used to call back people nothing more than a 1 way alert/message when used i.e no texting conversations... alerted via motion sensors not one survivor to another...

Me mentioning cell phones and phones might have threw you off... I also ain't saying phones/cell phones should/would work (I doubt service providers will still be up :p with cells needing sim cards and house phones would be a pain IRL hence why I think they are going with CB's anyway... easier to just tune into a frequency than make an actual call/send a text ) but their parts could be used for CB Radio maintenance and the radio tower(s) circuits... so you could send a signal over a transmission from the tower...

Was just a thought... might not have thought about it much thou, respect your feedback.
