I was sad to hear George A Romero had died. The man who helped define the zombie genre with the 1968 film 'Night of the living Dead'.
Would STN even be here if it wasn't for him?

What? No. We can't stop here. This is bat country.
One head stone to add at Old Town Cemetery, the man that gave us all the dream of living in a zed hellhole and the common bloodlust for zed.

R.I.P Romero.

yes this was some shitty news indeed...I have been a really huge fan of the zombie scene for 30 yrs long before most hoped on the bandwagon in recent yrs. My first Zombie film at 8yrs old was Dan O'Bannons Return of the living dead. My parents thought i was gonna be scared to death and full of nightmares lol but i fell in love with it and wanted more..From there my parents went out and got me the original Night of the living dead ,Dawn of the dead,Day of the dead, and The Crazies from then on out Romero was my horror hero R.I.P. Mr. Romero and thank you for my crazy weird love of everything zombie

Zombie Flesh Eaters was my introduction into the zombie world... The Romero saga was not long after, Dawn of and Day of are my favorites from the bunch... I also got word that he was making a new one "Road of the Dead", I do hope he got to finish it time.

For some reason the credits of dawn of the dead have always stuck in my mind

There is something very twisted about a mall full of zombies wandering around with the gonk playing in the background. Only George Romero could of made something in that way.
