It doesn't seem that these ideas have been mentioned yet.

SUV
Pros:
Seats several people
Decent off road
Roof tracks for attached storage
Cons:
Not fuel efficient
Does not handle as easily as Jeeps or sedans
Cannot handle all terrains unless modified
Example:

The Argo
It's a survival vehicle most commonly used in regions where water can be an obstacle. Which could mean there could certainly be one of these at a fire station on the islands of StN.
Pros:
Suitable for all types of terrain
It's amphibious
Cons:
It has limited storage space
Drivers are exposed
And it handles like a tank
Example:

Smart Car
My personal favorite; cruise through the apocalypse in style in one of these bad boys.
Pros:
Fuel Efficient
Good handling
Sexy as hell
Cons:
Not much storage space
Not really all terrain :(
Example:

I mean come on, this thing has a sniper rifle turret roof

I like the first one somewhat if it were more run down, the other two I think are more gag/troll vehicles. If anything, just add a quad, not some eight wheeler.

Argo's are actually quite common but a quad/ atv would be a more realistic option

How common are they because I would actually like to see both an four wheeled ATV and a Argo, like Snake said with the SUV it would make a lot of sense since the game is located on a island/future archipelago with dense forests. Once they have added more islands to the game the enviroment will seem a lot like an alaskan enviroment, and I think Argo's would probably get a lot of use since they are amphibious.

This is a tracked Argo for snow but it has a canopy so you could make a very similar one out of scrap.

Also if you like these survival/hunting vehicles check out the Hunting Rigs I posted in the backer section, they would be a lot rarer but would be a lot more versitile. Oshawatt also posted a really cool old military vehicle used for river tours on the Chatanooga River.

The are fairly common where in live, and the canopy and tracks are pretty easy to put on, you just buy them and configure them to your liking so even in real life they have a pretty good ability for ccustomisation.

Cool, just looked up some pic's here is one like the Hunting Rig's I posted

http://www.dwmetalworksinc.com/images/atv/a1.jpg
The frame could be easilly armored on the bottem and top and with the ladder you could have someone up top.

lol here are some pics showing what a bunch of airsoft players can do when they get ahold of a Argo.
