Will be curious to see what sort of performance my PC will give.

X5460 Xeon moded to 775 overclocked @4ghz sapphire 7970 3gb model oc'd dell 19' 1280x1024 8gb ddr2 oc'd and a sata ssd gaming drive. If I can get atleast 30 fps most people should be able to play with good performance. I know Unity is much more optimized today.

im probably going to upgrade my PC soon. Hoping to sell the GPU and CPU i got rn (gtx 960 - i5 6500) hopefully once i save up enough can get a 1070 and i5 6600k, it would cause a slight bottleneck but nothing a overclock cant fix :)

Lol just dont get into i7 overclocking those fvckers run hot need liquid.

Yeah wanna get an i5 rig myself but ivy bridge apparently the best gen for overclocking intel went crappy from haswell up. Prob wont bother deliding cause ivy bridge cpu's still cost a bit.

Stupid thing, ive got 32gb of ddr3 gathering dust cause it was brought for my old haswell pentium aniversary setup biggest industry con intel ever done both the CRAPPY gigabyte board and cpu ended up in the bin after 2 years of utter frustration and fiddling with every possible trick on the board to the extent of considering moding a bios myself. Never had such a rubbish pc in my life never will again. Oh and that was after i spent months exchange posts on the official gigabyte forum. Bog standard crap company and not impressed with Intel's quality these days.

I'd be checking my motherboard spec.s to see if I might accidently generate a new bottleneck there (I'm thinking PCI bus lanes to the GPU) as well. Just because you've got the components listed as supported doesn't always mean it's a good option.
I also have to agree with @DZS about overclocked I7 processors. I run an I7 5820K processor. Even without overclocking it, it spins up the fans on the liquid rad. and case when I'm gaming. Handy for keeping the room warm in the winter, but I do have to wear a headset to block out the background noise!

Glad to see that i share almost the same rig as OhDemGames. I should be set then.
I think most of us here in the forums will have a machine capable of playing STN. Remember, when it's released to us backers it's more of a pre-alpha test we can help to refine than a released game.
Yes, for some of us, playing on max settings won't be an available option. Who cares? We're going to get the game we all love soon!

Don't be sad about your rig. There's some serious computer nerds in the forum, and yes, I'm one of them.
I think your set-up will cope with STN just fine.

Hehe thanks. I do need a new one anyway as I do a lot of Youtubing too, and with what I have, it stops me from wanting to do a lot of games, especially the newer ones that are coming out these days.

Can you plug your YouTube channel @elastikspastik ? I'd be interested in seeing what you're doing on there, as I'm thinking about starting my own ...
